The Department of Engineering reviews and rates each street biannually utilizing software called Total Pave to analyze road conditions. The selection process for asphalt paving incorporates several considerations which include but are not limited to:
• street designation
• traffic volume
• street condition
• underground infrastructure condition
• maintenance costs
• street cross section and profile
• PSAB 3150 and 3160 (asset management) compliance
• Other (development considerations, planning, funding opportunities)
• Centennial Bridge closure
Paving projects will be completed after tenders are awarded.
